Sessions 0 & 1[edit]

Played by Enokitake, Koto, M'Challa, M'Palla, Nyiska Om and Pharius

The party awoke in a dungeon after apparently being knocked unconscious wherever each of them happened to be. Strangers to each other but with the common story of awaking in shackles in the dungeon and with the common goal of escaping they put their various skills to work and escaped their bonds. Nearby them and next to the only apparent room of their make-shift prison was all of their gear, gathered haphazardly. Whoever their captors were they didn’t seem to put much time into their imprisoning of the group. The brothers were the first to reach the door and upon attempting to open it found a trap which filled the feline adventurer with a sudden fear, he immediately ran across the room surprising the rest of the party. Upon further inspection of the door there was an aura of fading magic as the trap dissipated. The party made their way up the stairs, Koto getting silently annoyed at the antics of M’Challa and M’Palla as well as the chaotic actions of Pharius, who chose to shoot fire bolts at a simple door instead of simply opening it.

The party first made their way though a small room where they heard an ominous chorus of distant screaming whenever they were at its center. Unable to make anything of it they tarried fourth, trying to find their way out of the dungeon. Koto led the straggling group, disappointed by both his unintentional cohorts and the fact that this did NOT seem to be a trial for him to prove himself. Soon he stumbled into a large hall marked by torn and aged tapestries and a large zombie troll. He charged in and slid on his shell trying to knock over the monstrosity. Once the group caught up and fully engaged the troll they combined to take him down. During the battle M’Palla was felled after a single swing from the trolls large flail but was immediately bolstered back to fighting form by Enokitake.

They continued through the dungeon finding various trinkets, several scrolls, and some rather formidable swarms of rats who were feasting on recently dead tieflings who bore a brooch of Eldo. They finally found the entrance to the hold and exited, finding themselves on the top of a small tropical island. The Tabaxi brothers quickly climbed some nearby trees and saw a ship in the distance. Enokitake found another dead Tiefling bearing the same brooch of Eldo, who seemed to have been killed with only a single stab wound. They made their way down a path overgrown by years of neglect and found a small clearing with yet more dead Tieflings, each with a brooch of Eldo and a single stab wound. They continued down the path another mile or so to the beach near the ship and found more dead Tieflings along with a single survivor. Rather than sneaking up on the unsuspecting figure kneeling on the beach Enokitake rejoiced at the sight of the ocean water and sprinted past him, diving into the water. The terrified Tiefling attempted to flee despite Nyiska’s attempts to calm him down. As he fled Koto instinctively hurled his shield and knocked down the Tiefling. When they came to him they saw spurts of blood and noticed that he too had been stabbed and was nearing death after suffering the blow from the shield. With his dying breath he was able to mutter “Eldo will return, he will bring cleansing fire”. Enokitake meanwhile soaked in the sea and made his way over to the nearby ship. The rest of the party joined him although Koto seemed reluctant and immediately found a corner and went inside his shell. The rest of the party searched the ship, finding stores for a short journey and most importantly a map of the Coipor Archipelago with a line scribbled in leading northwest of Gamma to an X in what appeared to be open ocean. With no real knowledge of seafaring the party spent the rest of the day making the ship ready to sail and by nightfall were ready to try to complete their escape by returning to the Archipelago.
