The Cursed Region of Vutha Valignat

Vutha Valignat, meaning "Black Burn" in the draconic tongue of Shanin, represents the central region of Altha-Feor. Centered on a massive and cursed swamp, the region stretches west to the desert region of Dao Salam, north and east to the far edges of the Ragefrost Peaks and south to the mysterious lands of Akkenbar.

Cities, Towns & Fortresses[edit]

Augusthaven[edit]

This small walled town is a resting stop for many travelers and merchants from Spearsdale and lands further to the east.

Erad[edit]

On the southern tip of the region, this forbidden city is home to a large population of tieflings, including one Archimonde.

Evenhelm[edit]

Erected in SH 1262 by an order known as the Silver Scale, this lone fortress is the bastion for all travelers who must cross Vutha Valignat. The vast majority of its citizens are dragonborn who are all part of the clan of the Silver Scale in allegiance to the god Bahamut. For more information, go here.

Spearsdale[edit]

This growing metropolis is nestled on the western border of the Ragefrost Peaks. It acts as a cultural and mercantile center for much of central Altha-Feor area. Many underground passages to dwarven settlements start here as well. Mostly humans live here, but many individuals from other races travel through here.

Ragefrost Peaks[edit]

These dangerous mountains harbor several clans of giants, goliaths, and dwarves. While they are relatively calm during the summer and spring months, they can pose a great threat to anyone who tries to travel through them during fall and winter.

Vutha Valignat[edit]

Meaning "Black Burn" in the Draconic tongue of Shanin, this dark swamp is the known home of Verilis (born approx. SH 1000), a black dragon. He is the most recent descendant of a line of black dragons who have claimed the swamp as their undisputed territory.

Most common people avoid this ruined tower, believing it to be haunted and filled with undead abominations.

Roads & Pathways[edit]

Black Road[edit]

This treacherous road stretches through Vutha Valignat between Augusthaven and Spearsdale. Dangerous as it may be to travel, it is a much faster and relatively safer route than trying to cross the Ragefrost Peaks.

Old King's Road[edit]

This worn down road is still used by merchants coming from the east.
