Background/Biography: (Pirate) I have been traveling the sea for as long as I can remember. I can't remember where I came from, so as far as I know my family was the crew that took me in. I learned everything from them which was to:

  • trust no one
  • you can get by doing very little by swindling others around you (others that are NOT your crew)
  • loyalty to the crew and ship are everything
  • and I am awesome

I was found as a child no older than 3 years of age, and I effectively was adopted by one Captain Smurfnugle, a boisterous gnome, who encouraged me to present myself as human as often as possible since they were the most recognizable race in the archipelago. Years later during my teen years, a handsome deckhand Luciditus came aboard and joined the crew. Without sounding too shallow, the human (teenager at the time) Luciditus found my beauty irresistible. Suffice it to say, if I was a gnome all the time, it's possible that such a love wouldn't have grown as quickly. But as we all know, Love Is Blind. I was intrigued by this new human guest when he arrived on the ship. I watched Luci carefully and was enthralled with his ability to make new friends and loyalty to he crew.

One night our ship, the Marc Galley was brutally attacked. It took us by surprise and only Luci and I escaped with our lives. We fought hard and lost quickly.

After that, we were adrift for many months, taking random jobs here and there just to get by. Eventually, we found ourselves at Tradewind Cove for some time where used our fighting and swashbuckling skills for odd jobs here and there. At some point, we found the calling for adventurers by a mysterious patron in the Sloppy Deckhand Tavern by the docks.

Background/Biography: (Pirate) After a childhood raised by distant but wealthy parents, I was educated in the ways of the arcane while also learning swordfighting techniques. I was set to become the next duke in line after my father, but the life of a deckhand sailing the vast ocean called me instead. I effectively ran away from my life when I was merely 15 years old, and I found my way onto the Marc Galley and laid eyes upon the impossibly beautiful Beam. I was head over heels in love and I stayed on that ship for many years, where I made my way up to the rank of first mate under Captain Smurfnugle. Those years were glorious. We sailed to nearly every civilized port in the sea and them some other less reputable seaside towns, trading goods of all kinds and having many adventures along the way.

However, on one fateful night, the Marc Galley was brutally attacked by pirates. It took us completely by surprise but I was able to escape the attack alongside my Beam. Many of our crew mates were slain where they stood, but it's unclear whether or not the honorable Smurfnugle survived the attack. That was some months ago, and I have yet to see his face since then. Beam and I were adrift during that time, taking random jobs here and there just to get by. Eventually, we found ourselves at Tradewind Cove for some time where used our fighting and swashbuckling skills for odd jobs here and there. At some point, we found the calling for adventurers by a mysterious patron in the Sloppy Deckhand Tavern by the docks.

Background/Biography: (Haunted One) Born to a king of man and and elven mother, I was once royalty on the island of Sephia. Sephia is known for its system of pumps and aqueducts the distribute water around the city. Water wheels provide power for basic mechanical tools. After a betrayal of the crown that murdered my parents, I was forced into exile as a mere child. In my youth, angered by the betrayal against my family, I sought the power to rise up against those who cursed us. In a desperate attempt to become all powerful, I made a deal with the horrible Fiend demon, Eggeroth. He granted me all the magic power I could want, but at great cost. In my arrogance, I thought that I was in control and ended up killing my younger sister, the only family I had left. Ever since I have been tormented and scared by the power I wield. I have left my life of seeking revenge behind, now living with the guilt of past decisions and mistakes. I have lived my life nomadically, traveling between lands of man and elf alike but never quite fitting in either society. I am constantly haunted by my past and the fiend who’s name I am forced to fight by. I will do whatever I can to rid the world of evil to make up for the horrible act I’ve committed.

Background/Biography: (Clan Crafter) Feldspar is a craggy, inhospitable island. Below the rocky surface and the surrounding seafloor lies The Long Dark, a network of caverns tunnels and mines. Inhabiting The Long Dark are the Feldspar Dwarves.

The Bashfulson family have been "knocker-men" on Feldspar for as long as the community has been established. Responsible for traveling to the furthest reaches of The Long Dark to shore unstable tunnels, detonate pockets of poisonous gas and collapse areas beyond repair, knocker-men are quasi-religious figures amongst the Feldspar Dwarves.

On an excursion into The Long Dark, Bashful Bashfulson V (Yera's father) encountered a creature of Elemental Earth with whom he became enamored. Bashful returned to the surface with a child named Yera.

Yera has spent his adolescent years trying to find his place amongst the Feldspar Dwarves. He became a cleric of Moradin with the intent of connecting with his dwarven heritage. He found the forge to be spiritually rewarding and invested himself fully in his craft. His most prized creation is his mace, which he has named Break-Maker, inlaid with a Ruby Gem it serves as his connection and conduit to Moradin.

Yera has left Feldspar, hoping that through a life of adventure he may earn worthiness in the eyes of Moradin and the Dwarves.
